APRS

Automatic Packet Reporting System (APRS) is radio-based digital communications of info that can be displayed in real-time on a map.

Data can include an object’s GPS coordinates, weather station telemetry, text messages, announcements, queries and more.

In the case of an incident or while supporting a public event, being able to see where resources are on map can be incredibly useful.

Winlink

Winlink (aka Winlink Global Radio Email), is a network of amateur and government licensed stations that provides world wide radio email in areas where the Internet is not present or available.
